VERIFIED INTELLIGENCE

Selected verified requirements.

Product applicability depends on product category, PFAS definition, material evidence, exemptions, effective dates, manufacturer status, and other facts. The summaries below are regulatory screening inputs, not product-specific legal conclusions.

MINNESOTA

Approved extensions: December 14, 2026.

Annual updates: February 1 when new information becomes available, a product changes, or a new product is introduced.

MAINE

January 1, 2029: additional restrictions apply to artificial turf and outdoor apparel for severe wet conditions.

January 1, 2032: broad prohibition framework applies to products containing intentionally added PFAS unless a currently unavoidable use or other exemption applies.

January 1, 2040: separate treatment applies to cooling, heating, ventilation, air conditioning or refrigeration equipment and specified related materials.

FEDERAL

EPA TSCA §8(a)(7) PFAS reporting

EPA's PFAS reporting rule applies to persons that manufactured, including imported, PFAS during the covered historical period, subject to the final scope and exemptions.

Current timing: EPA moved the reporting-period start to 60 days after the effective date of its forthcoming revision to the rule. PFASIntel does not present the superseded October 2026 date as current.

Selected verified intelligence: PFASIntel performs state-by-state regulatory screening based on where products are sold. This public library highlights selected requirements that have completed primary-source verification and is expanded as verification is completed.
