PIPFASIntel
METHODOLOGY

Evidence first. Requirements second. Actions last.

PFASIntel separates product evidence from regulatory requirements so a material indicator is not automatically presented as a legal conclusion.

1

Product evidence

Catalog descriptions, supplier declarations, manufacturer specifications, customer-provided records, and unknowns are recorded separately.

2

Regulatory requirements

Requirements are tracked by jurisdiction, source, product scope, PFAS scope, effective date, action, exemptions, and verification status.

3

Screening output

PFASIntel identifies where a product warrants attention, where evidence is missing, and which official requirements should be reviewed.

Unknown is a valid result.

PFASIntel does not infer “PFAS-free” because no PFAS indicator appears in a product description. Missing or insufficient evidence is surfaced as unknown or incomplete.

Material does not equal prohibition.

A fluoropolymer or other PFAS indicator may be relevant to a regulatory review, but its presence alone does not establish that the product is banned, reportable, or noncompliant.

Source review: Published requirement records carry a verification date. PFAS Watch monitors designated primary sources and consequential changes receive human review before they alter customer-facing regulatory intelligence. PFASIntel does not promise a fixed public re-check cadence until that monitoring workflow is fully operational.
